What are you going to choose today? Comfort? Or Growth?

Spread the love

Every morning is a new beginning. You get one day added to your life. You start fresh.

The moment you open your eyes is a blessing. Not all get that blessing. Many don’t get to open their eyes today morning, and yet, you got that blessing.

And with every morning you get things to choose in front of you. Two things, if you broadly categorize them – growth and comfort.

They are like antonyms in the perspective of self development and success.

You choose one, the other is abandoned.

Comfort

If you choose comfort, you stay comfortable. You stay stagnant. You could feel happy but it is not long lasting.

Your comfort zone gives you comfort, but that’s it. You can stay as long as you want in your comfort zone, but that will be it.

You will stay stagnant. You will stay stuck. And that’s it.

Growth

If you choose growth, you need to get out of your comfort zone because growth happens outside of your comfort zone.

As long as you are comfortable, inside your comfort zone, you have no scope to grow.

If you want to grow, you need to step out of your comfort zone.

Of course, you will feel uncomfortable, but that’s the way to go, if you want to grow.

So I leave it to you to choose. Growth, or comfort?

  • It's true that your comfort zone won't let you out of the dangers. The main issue is self-realization. If one can change his mindset about life, he can deal with both comfort and growth.

  • At the current moment with the recession, I think the question shifts from Growth to Survival. The comfort zone will not be available at least for the next 2-3 years. Do you agree?

  • Very nice blogs Jane Sheeba Good work thanks you so much

Sadly for most comfort beats growth. Growth takes a deep and focused effort but truly pays off in the eand. Great article!

Very good reminder with your message here! Something I try to do, is when anyone from my management team is asking a group of people to do some type of extra assignment, I try to volunteer. This allows me to keep growing by doing new and sometimes uncomfortable tasks outside my normal responsibilities. Thanks again for the great reminder to step out of your comfort zone and it will be surprising the amount of growth you see within yourself.

Growth. And there is many ways to grow yourself by challenging the task

  • Growth. You can't grow with the comfort it pushes you back. You have to get out of your comfort zone then you can achieve anything even if it's small things.

Both are necessary today in order to be in balance. Comfort in necessary in some sense but growth is also an important part.
